Woman in critical condition after being pushed off moving train by TTE

Faridabad: A woman traveling from Faridabad to Jhansi on the Jhelum Express was seriously injured after she was allegedly pushed out of the moving train by a TTE. The incident took place on February 29 at the Faridabad railway station.

The victim, identified as 40-year-old Bhavna, had boarded the train in a hurry and had mistakenly entered the AC coach instead of the general coach. When the TTE asked her to move to the general coach, she requested him to allow her to stay in the AC coach till the next station. However, the TTE refused and allegedly pushed her out of the train while it was still moving.

Bhavna fell between the train and the platform and suffered serious injuries to her legs, hip, head, and hands. She was rushed to a hospital in Faridabad and later referred to Delhi for further treatment. The Government Railway Police (GRP) has registered a case of attempt to murder against the unidentified TTE. The victim’s statement has also been recorded.

Statement from CO GRP (Faridabad):

“Based on the complaint filed by the family of the woman passenger, a case has been registered against the on-duty TTE of the Jhelum Express under section 307 of the IPC. The victim’s statement has also been recorded.”– Ravinder Kundu, CO GRP (Faridabad)
