Four Detained After Low-Intensity Bomb Blast Injures Ten at Bengaluru Restaurant

Bengaluru: Authorities in Bengaluru are investigating a low-intensity bomb blast that injured ten people at a restaurant on Friday. Four persons have been arrested and questioned in connection with the event.

Police investigators are thoroughly interrogating the four individuals, who were apprehended in Dharwad, Hubballi, and Bengaluru.

Bengaluru City Commissioner B Dayananda confirmed that the investigation into the explosion caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the Rameshwaram Cafe is ongoing. He reassured the public that many teams are actively pursuing different leads.

“Due to the seriousness of the case and potential security risks, we urge the media to avoid speculation and cooperate with the investigation,” Dayananda said.

Following the blast in Bengaluru’s eastside IT corridor, security has been increased throughout the state, particularly at Kempegowda International Airport.

The Bengaluru Police Department has filed a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Substances Act in connection with the explosion at the popular cafe.
