New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s stint behind bars continues as he was presented before the Rouse Avenue Court by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday, linked to a money laundering case associated with the Delhi liquor scam. Following the ED’s plea, the court has extended Kejriwal’s judicial custody until April 15. Alongside Kejriwal, his wife Sunita and AAP leaders Saurabh Bharadwaj, Atishi, and Gopal Rai were also in attendance.

Previously, on March 28, Kejriwal was remanded to ED custody until April 1 by a Delhi court, subsequent to his arrest on March 21. During the proceedings, ASG SV Raju, representing the ED, highlighted Kejriwal’s alleged lack of cooperation in the investigation, accusing him of attempting to mislead the inquiry by implicating his ministers.

In the courtroom, Kejriwal’s legal team has petitioned for certain amenities during his detention, including access to prescribed medications, three specific books – “Ramayan,” “How Prime Minister Decided” by journalist Neeraj Chaudhary, and “Mahabharat.” Furthermore, Kejriwal’s lawyers have requested a specialized diet regimen for him, along with the provision of his personal effects, including a locket and a table chair.
