Faridabad, 15 February: The cultural evening of the 37th Surajkund International Crafts Fair on Thursday was dedicated to Gujarati singer Geeta Rabari. The renowned artist from the country, Geeta Rabari, started the cultural evening with the presentation of the beautiful bhajan of Lord Shri Ramchandra, “Meri jhonpdi ke bhag aaj khul jaenge, Ram aaenge…” After that, she presented one melodious bhajan after another, making the evening of Chaupal devotional.
Geeta Rabari, a famous Gujarati singer, took the audience back to the Treta Yuga by singing “Ram aaenge to angna sajaaungi, deep jalaakar Diwali manaaungi.” After that, she made the atmosphere of Chaupal pleasant by singing “Shri Ram Janaki baithe hain mere seene mein, dekh lo mere dil ki lakiron mein.” At the same time, she reminded the audience of their childhood by singing “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, patit pavan Sita Ram.” After that, she enthralled the audience with bhajans by singing “Chandan hai desh ki mitti, Khatu dham ka nazara bada cute saawre, Khatu Shyam wale tere charanon mein a gayo.”
Before Geeta Rabari, Shani Jadhav started the program with Ganesh Vandana “Ekdantay vakratunday gauri tanaya dhimahi gajeshanaay bhalchandraay shreeganeshaay dhimahi.” After that, he made the atmosphere Ramayana-like by singing “Meri chaukhat par chalakar aaj charon dham aae hain, bajaao dhol swagat mein mere prabhu Ram aae hain.” At the same time, “Damadam mast kalandar” forced the audience to dance.
