Scooter Update Leaves Noida Man Stranded, Offers Hilarious Excuse for Late Arrival
Noida: Traffic jams are yesterday’s news when it comes to excuses for running late. Believe it or not, a man from Noida in India recently found himself tardy to work due to a software update on his electric scooter!
Pratik Rai, the unfortunate commuter, shared his bizarre experience on social media platform ‘X’. Apparently, his scooter’s software decided to update itself right as he was about to leave for the office, leaving him stranded until the process finished.
While blaming traffic or car trouble for a late arrival is common, Rai’s situation offered a whole new, and frankly unbelievable, reason for tardiness. To prove his predicament, Rai, who rides an Ather Energy scooter, even uploaded a video as evidence. “This is a whole new kind of problem!” he exclaimed on ‘X’. “My Ather started updating when I turned it on this morning. I couldn’t go anywhere, let alone the office!”
The incident sparked amusement online, with comments ranging from “New excuse alert!” to “Imagine trying to explain this to someone who’s not tech-savvy!” One user even jokingly compared the situation to the ever-present Windows updates, while another envisioned a hilarious scenario where a scooter update leaves you stuck in a traffic jam with no escape.
Ather Energy itself acknowledged the incident, stating: “Thank you for letting us know about this. We’ve taken note of your feedback and shared it with our team. Feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any further concerns or need help. We’re always here to assist!”
It's SUCH A NEW problem.
