Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his campaign for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat today, marking his bid for a third term representing this historic constituency. The day’s activities began with his departure from Bareka Guest House at 8:30 am, proceeding via a carefully planned VIP route that included stops in Dereka, Lahartara, Cantt, and Chowkaghat before arriving at the revered Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Notably, the Prime Minister’s visit coincided with the auspicious occasion of Ganga Saptami, drawing crowds of devotees who had gathered to offer prayers along the ghats.

Following the morning rituals, PM Modi embarked on a cruise to Namo Ghat to review ongoing development projects along the riverfront. Returning by road through Chaukaghat-Lahurabir, he paused to pay homage at the Kotwal Kaal Bhairav temple in Kashi. By noon, the Prime Minister had returned to the Collectorate via Maidagin, Lahurabir, and Chaukaghat, where he promptly filed his nomination papers amidst a buzz of political activity.

Post-nomination, PM Modi addressed a gathering of BJP workers and intellectuals at the Rudraksh Convention Centre in Sigra, articulating his vision for Varanasi’s future and outlining key campaign objectives. This spirited launch of PM Modi’s election bid underscores the significance of Varanasi in his political journey and sets the tone for a dynamic electoral contest ahead.
