Faridabad, Haryana. Big sports and film stars will join the city people to encourage them in the Faridabad Half Marathon to be held in Faridabad on March 3. Many other famous players including Olympic boxer Mary Kom and Manu Bhaker will participate in it. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal will grace the Faridabad Marathon as the chief guest and encourage the participants.

DC Vikram Singh said that the Half Marathon will be organized on the pattern of metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai in the country. It will be organized at Surajkund on 03 March-2024 from 05:30 AM and it will be the biggest event of Faridabad district so far. More than one lakh people have registered for participation in Faridabad Half Marathon at www.faridabadhalfmarathon.com. He said that this registration can be done till February 29.

Arrangements on Marathon Route

DC Vikram Singh said that medical stations will be set up every two kilometers on the marathon route for the convenience of the runners. Along with these stations, the facility of mobile toilets including glucose, energy drinks will also be provided there. He said that volunteers have been deployed on the entire route to ensure that the runners do not face any inconvenience on the marathon route. At the same time, police personnel will also be deployed every 150 to 200 meters.

Calculate actual run time with chip-enabled bib

DC Vikram Singh said that runners applying for the 21 km Full and 10 km categories on the portal for the marathon will be provided with running kits. This includes an electronic chip-enabled bib (a sticker that sticks to the T-shirt). He said that with this chip-enabled bib, the runners will be able to calculate their actual run time and will also be able to download their photos related to the event after the event with the help of their electronic bib.

Prize money for honoring the winners

DC Vikram Singh further said that the winner of the Half Marathon in the 21 km Open Category will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, the second winner will be awarded Rs 75 thousand, and the winner of the third position will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50 thousand. Will be honored. At the same time, the winner

of the 10 km marathon will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50 thousand, the second winner will be awarded Rs 30 thousand, and the winner of the third position will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 20 thousand. The DC said that children, youth and senior citizens can participate in the 5 km fun marathon event”.
