Modi Government has completely failed to provide employment to educated youth: Kumari Selja

Chandigarh: The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and former Union Minister Kumari Selja said that the Modi government sitting at the center has completely failed to provide employment to educated youth during its 10 year tenure. The total number of unemployed in the country is 83 percent youth. While the number of educated unemployed has increased to 65.7 percent in the year 2022, which was 58.9 percent in 2012. This reveals that the promise of providing employment to 20 million people every year was just a slogan.

In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that despite being educated, the revelation of unemployment shows up in the India Employment Report 2024. This report has been released by the International Labor Organization and the Institute of Human Development, the country’s leading economic advisor V. Anant Nageshwaran. While releasing the report, Nageshwaran admitted that the government cannot solve all social and economic problems like unemployment.

After Nageshwaran’s statement, now expecting anything from the Modi government is futile. This government continues to deceive educated unemployed youth only on the basis of lies and propaganda. Now, in the general elections, they will once again rely on slogans regarding employment, which voters, especially youth, need to recognize. They need to see that the Bjp can never do them any good, nor can it provide employment despite education.

Kumari Selja said that in a country where there is no work for 83 percent of youth, it can be estimated where the country is heading. The central government does not even have time to think about how severe the problem of unemployment will become in the coming days. The Prime Minister has no roadmap or plan to reduce unemployment. They are only skilled at diverting youth from real issues.

The former Union Minister Selja said that only 34.3 percent of educated youth are getting employment just by studying. This also includes those who find employment abroad. If we subtract the number of those who find employment abroad, this figure could be even more alarming. Therefore, youth do not need to fall into their traps now. Only Congress can arrange employment for youth.

Selja said that all the promises made by the Bjp government have now been reduced to zero and the people have understood the double role of the government very well. The public is ready to retaliate for the wounds inflicted by the Bjp, through their votes.
