Haryana, February 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects worth over Rs 9,750 crore in Rewari, Haryana, including the AIIMS hospital. The projects are related to urban transport, health, rail and tourism. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh were present on the occasion.

In his address, PM Modi said that he has a special relationship with Rewari. He said that he knows that the people of Rewari love Modi very much. He said that as his friend Rao Inderjit Singh and CM Manohar Lal have told, his first program after being declared the BJP’s PM candidate in 2013 was in Rewari. At that time, Rewari had given him the blessings of 272 seats, which had become a success. He said that he has come to Rewari again, and this time the NDA government will cross the 400 mark.

The PM said that in a democracy, seats are important, but the blessings of the people are a big asset for him. He said that today India has reached a new height in the whole world, and it is because of the blessings of all of you. He said that he had just returned to India late last night after visiting two countries. The kind of respect India gets in UAE and Qatar today. The good wishes that India gets from every corner are not just for Modi, but for every Indian. It is for all of you. PM Modi said that the successful G20 summit was held in India with your blessings. The tricolor reached the moon, where no one could reach. He said that all this happened with your blessings. The PM said that in 10 years, India has risen from 11th to 5th position as an economic power. Now I need your blessings to make the country the world’s third largest economic power in my third term and in the coming years.

Narendra Modi said that for the development of a developed India, it is also very important for Haryana to be developed. Haryana will develop only when it has modern roads, a modern railway network, and big and good hospitals. I have had the opportunity to hand over projects worth about Rs 10,000 crore related to many such works to Haryana. Modi said that the museum will introduce the world to the holy land of Kurukshetra like the Gita message. He said that these days there is a lot of talk about Modi’s guarantee in the country and the world, and Rewari is the first witness of Modi’s guarantee. He said that here, as the PM candidate, I had given some guarantees to the country. The country wanted a grand temple of Lord Rama to be built in Ayodhya. Today the whole country is visiting Ramlala.

The country wanted a grand temple of Lord Rama to be built in Ayodhya, and today the whole country is visiting Ramlala, who is seated in the grand Ram temple. And even the Congress people, who used to call our Lord Rama imaginary, who never wanted a Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya, are now saying Jai Shri Ram. The Congress had put obstacles in the way of removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir for decades. I had guaranteed that I would remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Today, despite all the efforts of the Congress, Article 370 has been lost in history.

The PM said that this is where in Rewari I had guaranteed to implement One Rank One Pension for ex-servicemen. The Congress people used to show only 500 crores and lie about implementing One Rank One Pension. With your blessings, I have fulfilled that pledge taken from the land of Rewari. So far, ex-servicemen have received about one lakh crore rupees under OROP. The biggest beneficiaries of this will be the ex-servicemen of Haryana. Talking only about the ex-servicemen of Rewari, they have received more than 600 crore rupees. You tell me, the love that Rewari has received is less than what the Congress had for the ex-servicemen of the whole country. It is because of such lies and deceit that the Congress has been rejected.

Addressing the gathering in Rewari, the Prime Minister said that earlier, the railways used to get an average budget of 300 crore rupees every year. This year, a budget of about 3000 crore rupees has been kept for the railways. He said that new rail lines like Rohtak-Meham-Hansi-Jind Sonipat and doubling of Ambala Cantt railway lines will benefit lakhs of people. Such facilities make life and business easier. The Prime Minister also flagged off the train service in Rohtak-Meham-Hansi section, which will improve the rail connectivity in Rohtak and Hisar region and benefit the rail passengers. It will reduce the travel time between Rohtak and Hisar.

Taking a dig at the Congress, the PM said that the Congress’ track record is only to keep the interests of one family above the people of the country. The Congress’ track record is of the biggest scams in history. The country’s biggest track record is to promote terrorism. It is to weaken the army and the soldiers. It is important to remember these things, because even today the Congress team is the same. The leader is the same, the intention is the same and their loyalty is also for the same family.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that today’s occasion is even more practical and special. In 2013, when you had not become the Prime Minister and the country was looking at you as the Prime Minister, you started your journey from Rewari. Today, it is the same land of Rewari where people expected an AIIMS to open here…. This AIIMS will not only benefit the people of South Haryana but also the people of Rajasthan.
