District Legal Services Authority Plants 5000 Saplings in Faridabad

Faridabad: In a concerted effort to promote environmental sustainability, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Faridabad has launched a tree plantation drive with the goal of planting 5000 saplings within the district. This initiative, aligned with the directives of the District and Sessions Judge and Chairman DLSA Sandeep Garg and the orders of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority, aims to enhance the district’s green cover and improve air quality.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Mrs. Ritu Yadav spearheaded the tree plantation program at Government Senior Secondary School Jasana, in collaboration with the Education Department and Forest Department. On this occasion, she planted 300 saplings of various species, including Neem, Peepal, Sheesham, Pilkhan, Bargarh, and Arjuna.
Addressing the students, Mrs. Yadav emphasized the vital role trees play in our lives, providing oxygen, purifying the atmosphere, and contributing to a greener planet. She urged the students to take care of the newly planted saplings and protect existing trees from harm. “We must work towards preserving our natural resources and preventing deforestation,” she said.
On this occasion, the school principal Mrs. Reena Kumari and other teachers and students were present. Range Officer Mr. Afzal from the Forest Department and Ravindra Gupta from the Authority, Defense Council also planted saplings and showed awareness towards environmental protection. The event served as a platform to educate the community about the importance of environmental conservation and the benefits of tree planting. By planting saplings and promoting awareness, the DLSA Faridabad is making a significant contribution to a greener and healthier future for the district.
