New Delhi: After stepping down as Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal addressed the public at Jantar Mantar, reiterating his commitment to honesty and transparency. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor emphasized that he would only return to the Chief Minister’s chair if the people granted him a certificate of integrity. Alongside him were Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, Organization Minister Sandeep Pathak, Assembly Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla, Manish Sisodia, MLA Durgesh Pathak, Dilip Pandey have also reached the public court.

In his address, Kejriwal stated, “I have only earned respect in my life. Today, as I resign and prepare to vacate the Chief Minister’s residence, I have no house to live in Delhi. Over the past decade, I have gained your blessings, not wealth. I did not come here for power or money. If I had wanted to earn money, I would have stayed in my income tax job and made crores. But I came for the country.”

He claimed that a conspiracy had been hatched against him and his leaders were unjustly jailed. He mentioned the challenges faced during his tenure, including being framed under stringent laws like the PMLA Act. Kejriwal highlighted his government’s achievements, such as providing free electricity, water, and improved education in Delhi. “If I were corrupt, could I have made electricity and water free? Could I have built good schools in Delhi?” he asked, urging people to decide if he was honest in the upcoming elections.

Kejriwal posed five questions to the RSS, criticizing PM Modi’s actions, including the induction of corrupt leaders into the BJP and undermining democracy. He questioned the RSS’s stance on BJP’s deviation from their principles and its treatment of senior leaders like Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi.

Meanwhile, Delhi Minister Gopal Rai echoed Kejriwal’s sentiments, accusing the BJP of using agencies like the ED and CBI to target AAP leaders. They urged the public to support Kejriwal in the upcoming elections to restore his leadership with a thumping majority.

Manish Sisodia shared his ordeal in jail, affirming his resilience and dedication to the party’s mission. He emphasized that the AAP would continue to serve the people of Delhi and urged supporters to rally behind Kejriwal for a stronger mandate.
