Agni-V Missile Successfully Tested with MIRV Technology: India Joins Elite Group of Nations

New Delhi: India successfully test-fired the nuclear-capable Agni-V ballistic missile on Monday, which has a range of 5,000 kilometers. With this successful test, the entire Pakistan and China are now within the range of Indian missiles.

The Agni-V missile is based on the Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology. MIRV technology allows a single missile to carry multiple warheads that can be targeted at different locations. This technology was previously only available to the United States, Russia, China, France, and Britain.

Lieutenant General Anil Bhatt (Retd.), Chief of the Indian Space Association, and other experts expressed their happiness and called it a proud moment for India. The successful test of the Agni-V missile with MIRV technology is a major milestone for India’s strategic deterrence capabilities. It demonstrates India’s ability to develop and deploy advanced missile systems and puts it in a select group of nations with MIRV technology.

About the Agni-V Missile:

The Agni-V missile is a long-range intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and has a range of over 5,000 kilometers. The missile can be launched from land or sea and is highly accurate.

The successful test of the Agni-V missile with MIRV technology is a significant achievement for India and a major boost to its strategic deterrence capabilities. It demonstrates India’s commitment to developing advanced technologies and maintaining a credible nuclear deterrent.
