Aam Aadmi Party Announces Candidates for Delhi and Haryana Lok Sabha Seats
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday announced the names of its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Haryana and Delhi. The party has fielded candidates on four seats in Delhi and one seat in Haryana.
The candidates for the four seats in Delhi are:
· East Delhi: Kuldeep Kumar
· New Delhi: Somnath Bharti
· West Delhi: Mahabal Mishra
· South Delhi: Sahiram
The party has also fielded Sushil Gupta from the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat in Haryana.
Three MLAs to contest Lok Sabha elections:
AAP leader and Delhi minister Gopal Rai announced the names of the candidates from the party headquarters. The announcement was made after a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC). The party announced the names of the candidates in Delhi and Haryana after the meeting ended. In Delhi, three sitting MLAs (Somnath Bharti, Kuldeep Kumar and Sahiram) have been given tickets.
Names of candidates not announced in Punjab:
AAP has already announced candidates for the Bharuch and Bhavnagar Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat. It was expected that after the meeting held at CM Kejriwal’s residence, the party would also announce candidates in Punjab besides Delhi and Haryana, but this has not happened yet.
These seats are part of AAP’s share in the alliance:
AAP will contest four seats in Delhi. The Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat in Haryana is part of its share, while it is contesting all 13 seats in Punjab. AAP will contest from South Delhi, West Delhi, East Delhi and New Delhi seats in Delhi.
