A New Era in Indian Politics: PM Modi Appeals to Youth with No Political Background to Join the Fight against Casteism and Dynasty
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for bringing one lakh non-political youth into politics as public representatives. This, he said, would help end the politics of casteism and dynasty.
On the occasion of Independence Day addressing the people from the ramparts of the Red Fort on Independence Day, he said the youth can join any party of their choice, not necessarily the same party. “We want one lakh public representatives in the field of politics in the country. We want one lakh such youth who have no political background.”
Their parents, siblings, uncles, aunts, nephews have never been in politics in any generation, we need such talented youth. Whether it is for Panchayat, Municipality, Zila Parishad or Vidhan Sabha or Lok Sabha. His family has no political history.
This will end the politics of caste and religion. The Prime Minister said the move will bring forth new ideas and capabilities. In his 98-minute speech, he said that this is the golden era of India and by 2047, a developed India awaits the country. He reiterated his effort to rid the country of nepotism.
He presented his vision to the people to make the country developed by 2047. The theme of this year’s Independence Day is Developed India @2047. The Prime Minister said that this step will bring forth new ideas and capabilities.
