Chandigarh: Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as the 11th Chief Minister of Haryana on Tuesday evening. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office and secrecy to him at a ceremony in Raj Bhavan.

Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was present at the ceremony and congratulated Saini by patting him on the back. Five MLAs were also sworn in as ministers. The cabinet does not include any new faces. Saini took over as CM in the evening. Khattar seated him in the chair and Saini touched his feet to seek his blessings.

Kanwar Pal Gujjar, who was the Education Minister in the Khattar government, managed to retain his place in the cabinet. He was sworn in as a minister on Tuesday. JP Dalal, who was the Agriculture Minister in the Khattar government, was also included in the cabinet. Independent MLA Ranjit Singh Chautala, who was the Power Minister in the Khattar government, was also sworn in as a minister in the new government. Mool Chand Sharma, who was the Transport Minister in the Khattar government, has also been made a minister in the new government. The portfolios have not been allocated yet.
