Haryana Government Takes Strict Action in Mouth Freshener Case, Health Department Ordered by Vij to Investigate

Gurugram: Haryana government has ordered an investigation into the case of five people falling ill after eating mouth freshener at a restaurant. The Health Department will investigate the matter. State Home and Health Minister Anil Vij has ordered a probe into the case.

On Monday, March 4, three couples went to eat at La Foresta Restaurant in Sector 90, Gurugram. Here, Ankit, his wife Neha, Manik, his wife Preetika, and Deepak Arora along with his wife Himani ate at the restaurant.

After finishing their meal, they were offered mouth freshener by the restaurant’s female waiter, Amritpal Kaur. After taking the mouth freshener, the health of five people deteriorated. They started having a burning sensation in their mouth and started bleeding. Due to their serious condition, all five had to be admitted to a private hospital. A case was registered by the Kherkidaoula police station on the complaint.

In this case, Health Minister Vij says that as soon as the matter came to his attention, he had instructed the health officials to investigate. The department has started the investigation. After the investigation, whoever is found guilty will be punished.
